SRIWIJAYADAILY.CO.ID – Wearing Balinese traditional clothing made from recycled materials, The TNI Commander Laksamana TNI H. Yudo Margono, S.E., M.M., C.S.F.A., accompanied by General Chair Dharma Pertiwi Ny. Veronica Yudo Margono, attended The Rising Tide Kick Off activity at Puri Ageng Blahbatuh, Gianyar Regency, on Tuesday (21/2/2023).
The activity, which was also attended by Pangdam IX/Udayana Major General TNI Sonny Aprianto, S.E., M.M., was initiated directly by the TNI Commander, which is an environmental movement focused on encouraging collaborative action by various parties in creating an ecosystem for waste management, especially those originating from household plastic waste, in an effort to protect the oceans.
On this occasion, the TNI Commander was also awarded the honorary title “Ksatria Padma Dharma Utama”, by taking from the visualization of the Padma (Lotus) flower which can live in three dimensions, namely land, water and air, which is currently Laksamana TNI Yudo Margono as the leader of the three dimensions Indonesian National Armed Forces.
The conferment of this honorary title is a symbol that is expected to unite and increase the solidity of the Tri Matra, so that it can unite the archipelago, as what Maha Patih Gajah Mada had done in his Palapa Oath to unite the archipelago (Nusantara).
As a sign of conferring this honorary title, Penglingsir Puri Ageng Blahbatuh Anak Agung Ngurah Kakarsana also pinned the Ksatria Padma Gold Pin, as well as the presentation of souvenirs in the form of Command Sticks and Whips.
In the interview session, The TNI Commander said that The Rising Tide Kick Off activity was an action that had previously been carried out by the Indonesian Navy in 2022, and at this time would involve the three Matra TNI, as a massive effort to support the government’s environmental care program.
“Waste that has disturbed our environment so far and this is a government program about caring for the environment. Because previously this was carried out by the Navy, now it will involve all TNI dimensions to become an even more massive movement,” explained the TNI Commander.
Regarding the awarding of the Ksatria Padma Dharma Utama title, The TNI Commander stated that while serving as Chief of the Naval Staff, he had also been awarded the title Satria Padma Nusantara. So this is certainly a big responsibility compared to the previous position.
“Today I was awarded the honorary title of Ksatria Padma Dharma Utama. Of course, I have a moral responsibility to carry out the TNI’s duties in the future in carrying out enforcement and safeguarding the sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic Indonesia, as well as protecting all of Indonesia’s bloodshed,” concluded The TNI Commander.
